About Colette Murphy

Colette is a developmentalist, speech and language therapist, mother, collaborator, challenger, problem-solver and adventurer. She has an innate ability to look beneath the surface and work out what children are really trying to communicate. She can help you develop those skills so you can see what your child needs to feel safe and secure. When our children feel safe and secure, they can explore their world at a pace that is just right for them.

Children are not always easy to understand, not just the words they say, but the actions and behaviours they use to communicate. Colette is skilled at working with families to help them understand their child.

Colette has experience supporting children of all ages, with a range of communication, behaviour and feeding difficulties. She works with children with speech and language difficulties, autism, social communication difficulties, neurodivergence, brain injury, challenging behaviour, trauma, picky eating and problematic feeding.

Colette specializes in supporting adults to understand children. As a collaborator, she ensures that it is a team approach, working alongside families, educators and other professionals involved. She will empathetically challenge your thinking and honestly guide you in the right direction.
