Despite my daughter being 10 years old when we began at Not Only Words I was surprised to discover how her diction problems were affecting her reading .... now that her speech is more "smooth" her reading has improved and her confidence soared. After only two terms at Not Only Words she was able to memorize and recite a four verse poem to her class - amazing both her class teacher and myself. I look forward with excitement for my daughter as she progresses further with Not Only Words.

When our son was diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder, we had no idea what to expect with Speech and Language Therapy, but we knew that Mason needed it. After only 3 months of SLT, Mason has progressed from minimal words, to starting to form sentences with help from the tools provided. Mary-Anne has been fantastic and Mason thoroughly enjoys the time he spends with her.

What an impact Mary-Anne has had on our son. Max has progressed considerably in his articulation and ability to speak clearly since starting with Not Only Words. Mary-Anne has an infectious enthusiasm to her which has made speech therapy exciting and stimulating and not just for Max, she has given me lots of great ideas to reinforce at home. Mary-Anne has the ability to put Max at ease and she caters for his very robust and energetic personality, possibly her greatest asset is her genuine 'liking' of our son. She enjoys watching him and applauds his personality, this is something that I value beyond everything else, she gives him confidence and believes in him and this has meant he has been so keen to go to speech.
