Speech & Language Therapy Services
Not Only Words provides assessment and therapy programmes that are specifically designed to meet the needs of each client. Initial consultations enable Not Only Words' therapists to identify strengths and areas of development for each client. Clients and their families contribute to setting therapy goals that are functional, meaningful and achievable. Children
As a parent it can be hard to know what is typical for speech, language and feeding development. All children develop uniquely but some need a little extra help along the way. If the answer to any of the following questions is yes, please contact us to discuss further.
- Does your child have difficulty saying particular sounds that other children of the same age can say?
- Does your child's language seem immature relative to other children the same age?
- Is your child's speech often difficult to understand?
- Does your child sometimes stutter on words or have difficulty getting their words out?
- Does your child have behavioural difficulties as a result of not being able to communicate?
- Does your child have feeding or swallowing difficulties?
- Is your child a fussy eater?
Adults
Communication and swallowing difficulties can occur as a result of an acquired neurological condition such as stroke or other brain injury, or a progressive neurological condition, such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, or dementia. - Do you have difficulty communicating as a result of a stroke, Parkinson's disease or other neurological condition?
